Infrared spectroscopic measuring system for moisture content of materials in mixer and dryer plant

Moisture content of material in a granulator mixer and vacuum drying equipment is measured by an infra-red spectroscopic device with a measuring sensor (6) with fibre optic, extending into the material down to the top edge of the stirrer blade and equipped with a viewing window (8) at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the fibre optic. The end of the fibre optic away from the window leads to a detector. A flushing gas nozzle (10) may be provided in the region of the window, at the end of a flushing probe (11) located within the sensor.
