The filter has an upright cup-shaped housing (10) with a removable cover, while the element (2) consists of a hollow cylindrical body (20) between two end plates. The sleeve (3) extends upwards from the bottom end plate (21), enclosing the body for part of its height, and is impervious to particles filtered out of the liquid by the body.Flexible elastic fins can extend obliquely outwards from the top edge of the sleeve, bearing at their free ends at an acute angle against the housing inside surface. The sleeve itself can be made of material permeable to liquid. It is in the form of a strainer over part of its surface at least.
