The flight simulator has an image of the cockpit produced by computer program on a monitor behind an instrument panel on which the controls are mounted advantageously on a plexiglass or similar screen. The panel is transparent so that flight instruments and navigation equipment displayed on the monitor can be seen, and it contains holes for rotary switches serving to adjust the navigation equipment and e.g. receivers and radio direction-finding equipment. Cables lead to a microprocessor unit interfaced to the personal computer.
