The table (7) is pulled out into the working position, in which it protrudes over the bed, having a roller-mounted foot (1). A section of table (147), which can incorporate a sliding drawer (5) or a shelf (6), and a main body which can contain another drawer (4), are mounted one above the other on the same side of the table. The foot has a height-adjustable slide (2) working on a guide of inverted-T section, and accommodates the drawer, which can contain an intermediate shelf, and the main body, which can contain a further drawer (4), all these being height adjustable together with the slide. In side view, an extendable table section (148) and the slide form an L-shape. The stationary table section (147) with the slide, and the top of a bottom drawer forms a C- or M-shape.
