The strip feed belt, for a stud driving tool, has a central recess (6) to hold a detonator (7) in the feed belt strip (1) opposite each cartridge (3). The detonator (7) extends into the inner zone (4) of the cartridge (3), with openings (8,10) around it to fill the cartridge (3) with propellant powder (5). The cover (16), along the feed belt (1) line, is a plastics film or metal foil.
