The bearer is used for the support of a railway vehicle frame. It bears on the support springs of the vehicle running gear. Its the middle section is so narrowed down that the elasticity of the member is definable over the narrowing ratio (a/b/c).The diameter of the contact region (3) of the member is twice as large as the diameter of the longitudinal beam (1). One or more transverse beams (2) are arranged in the region of the narrow section.
