PURPOSE:To reduce vibration input to be transmitted to the car body by employing a three-way electromagnetic direction selector valve in the above apparatus so that the pressure of one of upper and lower pressure chambers of a fluid-operated cylinder may be decreased, when increased, and may be increased, when decreased, to be kept at a constant value. CONSTITUTION:A fluid-operated cylinder 1 interposed between upper and lower portions of a spring of a vehicle is expanded and contracted by controlling the pressure of a lower pressure chamber B defined by a piston 1c by a pressure control valve 13 so as to control the attitude of the car body. The pressure control valve 13 has a proportional solenoid 18 energization of which is controlled by a control 30. In this case, the control 30 controls the solenoid 18 in response to the difference between a desired stroke set according to the output from a transverse acceleration sensor 26 and a detected stroke by a stroke sensor 25. If there is any increase or decrease of pressure in the lower pressure chamber B on driving on the projecting or recessed portion of the road surface, the pressure is introduced through a pilot passage 14g into a chamber C so as to reduce or increase the pressure in the chamber B, respectively. |
