METHOD OF INCINERATING SLUDGE RESULTING FROM WASTE-WATER TREATMENT

The invention concerns a method of incinerating sludge from biological plants of the waste-water neutralization type for the treatment of waste water from paper factories. After neutralization (8) and biological treatment (10), the waste water is filtered (12) and the resulting carbonate-containing sludge is contacted with the acid condensate from the evaporation plant (14). The soluble salts thus produced, which are mostly filtered off by a washer-filter (13), pass into the final settling tank and hence into the outfall. The method permits the use of calcium or magnesium hydroxide to neutralize the waste water, as well as allowing the sludge to be incinerated in the lye chamber (1).
