In a water treatment appliance having a stock vessel for making available a regenerant solution and having a piston travel-controlled dosing appliance for metering supplementary feed water into the stock vessel, it being possible to supply to the stock vessel as supplementary feed water the precisely defined water volume displaced in a piston stroke, the piston (5) carries at one of its two axial ends a slide rod (6) which acts tangentially on a gearwheel (8) and is able to rotate this onwards by a defined angle alpha in a fixed, constant sense of rotation, the gearwheel (8) driving a mechanical valve control element with a cyclic control programme execution, such as, e.g., a cam shaft, a cam disc or the like. By means of a single, mechanically relatively simply constructed element, i.e. the delivery body which contains the piston (5) with the slide bar (6), a volumetrically accurate liquid dosing appliance is thus provided at the same time as an inexpensive stepping motor for cyclic control functions. <IMAGE> |
