A cylindrical or reed working rim is made on the edge of a container (1) produced by: (a) thermoforming or injection of a synthetic material dish during the forming or injection operation; (b) bending over the edge (3) to form the relief border; and (c) maintaining the bend in position by fixing it to the main body (1) of the container.
