PURPOSE: To perform sorting easily in terms of documents by providing a consecutive transmission means for transmitting plural transmission documents by consecutive transmission changing their lengthwise and breadthwise directions alternately in terms of documents. CONSTITUTION: A consecutive transmission control part 14 constitutes a consecutive transmission means along with a transmission part 20. Then, at the time of consecutive transmission, a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction are alternately repeated in terms of documents related to the direction of the transmission documents and thus, a transmission control part 21 sets a document direction instruction flag inside a storage part for communication control to 'longitudinally long'. Further, in the transmission of a second document, since the document direction instruction flag is set to 'transversely long', the document is rotated so as to be transversely long and transmitted. At the time of transmitting the plural documents by the consecutive transmission in such a manner, since the direction of the document can be alternately shifted for 90 degrees in terms of documents on the side of performing reception, the sorting in terms of documents on the reception side is simplified. Also, even when the direction of the document can not be changed by the performance of a facsimile on the reception side, the white paper of a different direction can be inserted between the documents and the sorting in terms of documents is simplified. |
