PURPOSE: To provide a tunnel excavator allowing a geological survey in the horizontal direction by a boring machine while progressing the excavation work, having a survey result with high reliability, and capable of contributing to the efficiency improvement of the excavation work. CONSTITUTION: This tunnel excavator 1 is provided with a rotary cutter disk 10 in the front and an opening penetrating in the longitudinal direction at the center section of the cutter disk 10. A boring machine 40 for a geological survey is attached so that a boring rod 43 is extended forward through the opening. |
