PURPOSE: To provide a sealed lead-acid battery which can be prevented from having its initial capacity decreased and its cycle life shortened. CONSTITUTION: An electrolyte for use inside plates, with the addition of 1.0wt.%, or less silica having an average grain size of 0.01 to 0.1μm, is injected into a battery jar in which are arranged the plates, and time greater part of the electrolyte impregnates the positive and negative plates. Next, another electrolyte for use inside separators, with the addition of 1.5 to 3.0wt.%. silica having an average grain size of 0.01 to 0.1μm, is injected into the battery jar, and the greater part of the electrolyte impregnates the separators. |
