PURPOSE: To prevent a resin blend from flowing out into a molding material layer without the bleeding of a thermosetting molding material on the surface of a sheet for molding by causing a specific amount of at least a high temperature-curable organic peroxide among other organic peroxides to reside in the semi-cured sheet. CONSTITUTION: A sheet-like reinforcing material is impregnated with a thermosetting resin composition containing a high temperature-curable organic peroxide such as methylcyclohexanone and an intermediate temperature-curable organic peroxide such asα-cumylperoxyneodecanoate, with a thermosetting resin such as an unsaturated polyester resin as a main component. Further, this composition is semi-cured by preliminary heating to obtain a sheet for compression molding. In this case, an appropriate amount of at least a high temperature-curable organic peroxide for curing a sheet for molding completely is caused to reside in the semi-cured sheet for molding. Thus it is possible to prevent the resin blend for a sheet for compression molding from running out into a molding material layer or a thermosetting molding material from bleeding onto the surface of the sheet for compression molding, if the thermal compression molding is performed. |
