发明名称 PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND PRODUCTION APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a flash initialization device with which arbitrary setting of discharge light emission time (irradiation time) and discharge light emission power (irradiation light power) is possible and an initialization method which uses the device and decreases thermal damages. CONSTITUTION: An optical information recording medium 3 of a phase transition type having a thin film 1 of a material which induces a reversible change of its optical characteristics by irradiation with an energy beam, such as laser beam, on a substrate 2 is formed. The initialization device is provided with a means (shielding circuit part 10) which instantaneously lowers light emission intensity to a substantially zero level after light emission for a prescribed time at the time of executing an initial crystallization stage with rays 4 emitted from a flash light source 7, by which the large irradiation power is made compatible with the short irradiation time and the various thermal damages are decreased. Since useless electric energy is not consumed, the charging completion time of the electric energy for the next discharge light emission is shortened.
