PURPOSE: To maintain the explosionproof valve function of a smoothing electrolytic capacitor installed inside a DC high-voltage generation apparatus when the generation apparatus is molded with synthetic resin in order to insulate the generation apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A high frequency inverter is composed of one pair of input terminals 5 which receive a commercial AC power supply, of a rectifier circuit which is connected to them, of a smoothing electrolytic capacitor 9 which is connected to the rectifier circuit, of a high frequency switching means which is connected across the capacitor and of a transformer 11. A DC high voltage is generated at an output terminal 21 via a high voltage rectifier circuit 17 from the output of the transformer 11. In a high voltage generation apparatus 1 which is constituted in this manner, all constituent elements are mounted on one printed-circuit board 53, and the part of an explosionproof valve for the smoothing electrolytic capacitor 9 is covered with a chimney 57. The printed- circuit board 53 is housed in a synthetic resin case 51, the opening part of the chimney is made to protrude, epoxy resin 55 is filled inside the case 51. The explosionproof valve function of the smoothing electrolytic capacitor 9 is kept by the chimney 57. |
