<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the staining of a tailing edge part or a tailing edge with a developer, when the tailing edge of a recording material is curled and to obtain a high quality image by coating the surface of a guiding member guiding the recording material to a fixing means with a fluororesin. CONSTITUTION: The recording material P whose front side carries an unfixed toner image, after being carried by a photoreceptor drum 1 and a transfer roller 4 is fixed by a fixing roller 7 and a pressure roller 10. At this time, for stabilizing paper carrying between transferring and fixing, a lower entrance guide for fixing 5 is provided in the lower part of a carrying path for the recording material P, on the entrance side of the fixing roller 7 and the pressure roller 10 and an upper entrance guide for fixing 2 is provided in the upper part of the carrying path and coated with the fluororesin 3 having high mold releasability. As the fluororesin 3, for instance, polytetrafluoroethylene which has a small surface energy, nonadhesivity, an extremely low coefficient of friction and self lubricity is mentioned. Thus, toner is hardly stuck to the entrance guide 2, that is, easily released and an abnormal image can be sharply reduced.</p> |
