<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate the occurrence of warp of a substrate and damage of a switching element and to eliminate the parallax between a pen tip and a liquid crystal display image by arranging a tablet device for detecting a co-ordinate on a position preventing no transmission light for lighting of the upper part or lower part of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of a pen 1 for inputting, the tablet device 2 forming an ITO electrode on a glass substrate for detecting the position on which the pen is placed, a TFT substrate 3 forming a scanning line, a signal line, a thin film field effect transistor and a pixel electrode for applying a voltage to a liquid crystal, a counter electrode 4 forming the ITO electrode for applying the voltage to the liquid crystal, a GH type liquid crystal 5 and a back light 6 for lighting, On the other hand, at the time of inputting to the tablet, though it is performed by touching the pen 1 to the device 2, at this time, even though the device 2 and the substrate 4 are pressed by pen pressure of a user, and the gap thickness of the liquid crystal 5 is changed, since the GH type liquid crystal is used for liquid crystal material, no change in transmissivity becoming a problem on a practical use occurs.</p> |
