<p>PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized zigzag scanning circuit which can perform fast processing. CONSTITUTION: A zigzag address generating means is featured which generates addresses changing in a zigzag scan shape in an address generating circuit. A change state of two successive address in the zigzag scan shape is in one of plural kinds of state. Therefore, when a current address and state transition are fixed, a next address and next state transition can be fixed. The current address is held in a zigzag address register 25. A state transition parameter prescribing the transition state from the current address to the next address or a transition state at the time of a change to the current address is held in a state transition register 26. A zigzag address arithmetic circuit 28 finds the address and state transition parameter in next timing on the basis of the current address and state transition parameter and re-stores them in a corresponding register.</p> |
