An encapsulated overflow system for use in a sink (10) to interconnect the overflow opening (40) and the drain opening. The system including a tube (80), an overflow opening adapter (50) and a drain opening adapter (70). The tube includes an internal supporting rib (82) which prevents collapse of the tube when a layer ((24) of plastic material is formed on the underside of the sink.
