PURPOSE: To provide a reversible heat color developing composition of superior light resistance in which color development and color erasing can be carried out stably by containing a coloration compound of electron donating property and a compound of electron accepting property containing a specified fluoran compound as a main component. CONSTITUTION: A reversible heat color developing composition is prepared by containing a coloration compound of electron donating property and a compound of electron accepting property containing a fluoran compound represented by the formula. In the formula, R1 represents hydrogen or an alkyl of 1-4C, R2 represents an alkyl of 1-6C, a cycloalkyl, tetrahydrofurfuryl or phenyl group, R3 represents hydrogen, an alkyl of 1-2C, an alkoxy group or a halogen, and R4 represents an alkyl group of 1-4C. At lease one of R5 and R6 represents methyl, ethyl or methoxy or a halogen. R7 represents hydrogen, methyl, acetyl or a halogen. When both of R5 and R6 represent each a halogen, R7 is not hydrogen. |
