PURPOSE: To provide an air bag device having few number of part items and good assembling workability. CONSTITUTION: The peripheral edge of an opening section 3 fitted to the inflator 4 of an air bag main body 2 is fixed by a retainer provided on the peripheral edge of the inflator insertion port 15 of a base plate 10, and the base plate 10 and the retainer are integrally formed in this air bag device.
