<p>PURPOSE: To automatically perform size conversion with optional magnifications of the digital image while holding the properties of the digital image. CONSTITUTION: The digital image optionally magnification varying device 1 converts an input image of pixel size m×n into an output image 3 of pixel size p×q while holding the properties of the image as they are. A matrix generation part 6 generates a conversion matrix 5 from (m), (n), (p), and (q) showing the sizes of the input image and output image. The conversion matrix 5 represents the relation of all the pixels of the input image and output image, and the size conversion is performed through matrix arithmetic using the conversion matrix 5. An arithmetic part 4 performs the matrix arithmetic between the input image 2 and conversion matrix 5 to obtain the output image 3.</p> |
