<p>PURPOSE: To enable a low temperature fixing and the enhancement of fixing strength by forming the electrophotographic toner comprising a colorant and the specified cross-linked polyester resin between a saturated polyester and an unsaturated polyester specified in the melt-starting temperature. CONSTITUTION: This toner comprises the colorant and the polyester cross-linked between saturated and unsaturated polyester resins having a melt starting temperature of 50-100 deg.C. The toner is prepared by melting, kneading, and mixing the colorant and the polyester resin, adding a radical polyester catalyst to selectively cross-link the unsaturated polyester resin, and then, pulverizing and classifying the product, thus permitting the obtained polyester resin to have a wide molecular weight distribution and the low-melting saturated polyester resin to contribute to the fixing strength and the cross-linked unsaturated polyester resin to take charge of offset resistance.</p> |
