PURPOSE: To remove the foreign matter introduced into liquid chambers and the particles generated in the liquid chamber by providing an ink supply means, the second liquid chamber connected to a recording means to supply ink to a fist liquid chamber, the ink supply route allowing the first and second liquid chambers to communicate with each other and the ink purifying means provided to the ink supply route. CONSTITUTION: A housing 101 is equipped with an upper stage part on which a first liquid chamber (sub-tank) 131 of small capacity is placed, a lower stage part on which a second housing 111 housing a second liquid chamber (main tank) 121 of large capacity is placed and an opening part 104 provided with a door. The tube 151 communicating with the main tank 121 and the tubes 141 communicating with the respective tubes constituting an ink tube group are connected to the sub-tank 131. A filter part 500 being an ink purifying means is connected to the tube 151 through a connection part 151a in a freely detachable manner and a connection part is provided to the discharge port of the filter part 500 and the filter part is connected to the tube 131 communicating with the sub-tank 121 through the connection part in a freely detachable manner. |
