PURPOSE: To easily attach, detach and replace the large capacity liquid chamber provided outside a recording apparatus by arranging an ink supply means at a predetermined position independent of a carriage and supporting the ink supply means within a housing so as to freely take in and out the same with respect to the housing. CONSTITUTION: An ink supply part 100 has a housing 101 having castors provided to four corners of the bottom part thereof and can easily move on a floor surface. The first housing 101 has an upper stage part 102 on which eight first liquid chambers 131-138 of small capacity are placed, a lower stage part 103 on which second liquid chambers 121-128 of large capacity corresponding to the first liquid chambers are placed and the opening part 104 formed to the side surface part of the housing and provided with a freely openable and closable door. For example, when tubes 151-158 are separated by a connector at the time of the maintenance of a pump 161, second housings 111-118 can be easily drawn out of the housing in a state loaded with a main ink tank and a pump. |
