PURPOSE: To provide an oxide superconductor having a large size and higher critical electric current density characteristics and its producing method. CONSTITUTION: This oxide superconductor is composed of RE2 BaCuO5 phase finely dispersed in REBa2 Cu3 O7-x phase (RE is rare-earth element). In a triangular composition figure of RE, Ba and Cu, a compositional ratio of RE, Ba and Cu (RE:Ba:Cu) corresponding to a real size of the part having a composition in the range surrounded by each point of A (0.20:0.34:0.46), B (0.28:0.32:0.40), C (0.29:0.29:0.42), D (0.21:0.31:0.48) is containable a lump having a size larger than a cube having 10mm each side. In a baking process in the producing, the inclusions directly attaching to raw material mixture for supporting the raw material mixture is composed of the material containing at least RE (RE is a rare-earth element containing Y) in an amount of >=50mol% and not including any element except the element constructing raw material mixture for forming the superconductor except the RE. |
