PURPOSE: To improve a print speed without increasing the power consumption by changing paper feeding timing of a printing paper and temp. control of a fixing device according to rise times of a scan means and a fixing means stored in a storage means at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION: At the time of starting print operation, a CPU 101 monitors the number of revolution of a polygon motor 109 (a) and a temp. of the fixing device 106, and refers to the rise times of the motor 109 (a) and the fixing device 106 stored in the RAM 103. The CPU 101 infers the rise times of the motor 109 (a) and the fixing device 106 from the monitored result and the referred result related to the print operation while executing at present, and subtracts a transfer time of sheets from the inferred time to decide the paper feeding timing. In such a manner, by changing the paper feeding timing by referring to the rise times of the motor 109 (a) and the fixing device 106 stored inn the RAM, paper feeding operation is started before the temp. of the motor 109 (a) and the fixing device 106 arrive at prescribed states, and the print speed is improved. |
