FIELD: clearing of brush-covered areas for subsequent laying of power lines, communication lines and gas pipelines. SUBSTANCE: rotary brush cutter has frame 2 suspended on self-propelled chassis 1, cutting members 3 mounted on frame 2 and supporting device 4 fixed on frame 2 above cutting members 3. Additional supporting device 6 with extension mechanism 7 is mounted on chassis 1 above main supporting device 4 on poles 5. When self-propelled chassis advances rotary brush cutter, main supporting device 4 embraces shrub vegetation which is partially bent and cut by cutting members 3. Main supporting device 4 retains only low vegetation in the process of cutting and following grinding. When high vegetation is to be cut, additional supporting member 6 is activated to bend tree trunks and develop required shear tension. Additional supporting member 6 retains high vegetation within working zone in the process of cutting and grinding of vegetation. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. |
