FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: gearbox of two-shaft design has two clusters of driving and driven gears with herringbone teeth, 4 and 6, respectively. Mounted on drive shaft 2 is mechanism to bring gears 4 in engagement with shaft 2 made in the form of concentrically arranged sleeves 8 connected by splines and installed for axial travel. Sleeves and hubs of gears 4 are furnished on end faces with engagement members. Control drive provides shifting of sleeve for engagement with gear 4 to provide transmission of torque from engine drive shaft to driven shaft.
