PURPOSE: To slightly discharge electricity from respective upper, lower, right and left cells of lighting cells of a PDP(plasma display panel) and to surely discharge the electricity by impression of a sustain pulse. CONSTITUTION: Red, green and blue digital signals 21 are recorded in line memories 22 for respective colors and are inputted via a switch 26 to a latching circuit 17 where the signals are latched for one dot-component and are outputted from a switch 31. The signals from the line memories are calculated by a NOR gate 23 and an OR gate 25. The signals 21 are calculated by an OR gate 24 and the calculated outputs are calculated by an AND gate 4 and a negative logic operation type AND gate 6 and are inputted to an OR gate 7. The switch 26 is changed over to a low luminance discharge signal 8 side by the output '1'. The signals of the respective colors from the switch 26 are calculated by an OR gate 29 and are latched for one dot-component by a latch 27. The latch outputs are calculated by a NOR gate 28 and an OR gate 30 and these calculated outputs are calculated by an AND gate 12 and a negative logic operation type AND gate 14 and are inputted to an OR gate 15. The switch 31 is changed over to a low luminance discharge signal 8 side by the output '1'. |
