PURPOSE: To surely visually confirm even a mark having a small display area by preventing an unnecessary part from being illuminated. CONSTITUTION: An electronic equipment comprises a liquid crystal display panel 11 having a mark display part 13 for displaying marks 13a-13c showing weather information or the like, and a time display part 14 for displaying time information, and an illuminating panel 10 which is disposed on the back side of the liquid crystal display panel 11 and has a light emitting layer and a back plate 20 sequentially stacked on the back of a surface electrode 17. The back plate 20 is formed by a mark electrode area 22 corresponding to the mark display part 13 and a time display electrode area 23 corresponding to the time display part 14. The respective mark electrode parts 22a-22c corresponding to the respective marks 13a-13c of the mark display part 13 in the same form are formed on the mark electrode area 22. Accordingly, the respective marks 13a-13c of the mark display part 13 themselves can be illuminated by the respective mark electrode parts 22a-22c of the mark electrode area 22, and an unnecessary part can be prevented from being illuminated, so that even a mark having a small display area can be surely visually confirmed. |
