PURPOSE: To provide the portable personal computer which automatically accesses the telephone number of a base station in the place, where the personal computer exists, at the time of the change of the place where the personal computer exists in the case that the portable personal computer is used as a moving body to perform the personal computer communication. CONSTITUTION: A portable personal computer 1 is provided with a telephone connection means 4 which is connected to a proper general telephone 3 through a MODEM 2, a present position detection means 5 which detects the present position of the portable personal computer 1 and outputs the position data, an access point selection means 6 which selects the telephone number of a base station which can be accessed from a position corresponding to position data of the portable personal computer 1 and exists in the shortest distance, and a processing means 8 which selects a desired base station from the access point selection means 6 based on position data detected by the present position detection means 5 and drives the telephone connection means 4.
