<p>PURPOSE: To provide a load sensor which can regulate an excessive operating force even when the force is applied and whose reliability is excellent regarding the load sensor used as a pointing device. CONSTITUTION: A high-rigidity material is used for a housing 5, and a metal sleeve 8 is formed integrally up to a part near the tip of an operating part 1. When an excessive load is applied to the operating part 1, the operating part 1 comes into contact with the metal sleeve 8, and the displacement of the operating part 1 is regulated. Consequently, even when a load is applied further, an elastic plate 4 is not bent any more. As a result, a load sensor is featured in such a way that, even when a material whose proof stress is low is used for the elastic plate 4, it can be used reliably.</p> |
