PURPOSE: To easily and efficiently input data by holding coefficients, electric charges and the number of constitutive atoms for each chemical formula on both the sides of a reaction formula, deciding whether the sums of the numbers of atoms and the numbers of electric charges on both the sides are equal or not and displaying the result. CONSTITUTION: Concerning the inputted reaction formula, coefficients related to the chemical formulas of i-th terms on left and right sides are defined as cl (i) and cr (i), the numbers of electric charges in the chemical formulas are defined as vl (i) and vr (i), the numbers of atoms of elements expressed by an atomic number ana among the atoms consisting of the chemical formulas are defined as nal (i, nan) and nar (i, nan) and the total numbers of chemical formulas on the left side and the right side are defined as nl and nr. In this case, an upper limit value npt of the atomic number nan is applied in advance and assuming that the condition of 1<=nan<=npt is established, totals vlt and vrt of the numbers of electric charges on the left side and the right side of the reaction formula are respectively calculated by equalities I and II and it is decided whether these vlt and vrt are equal or not. Then, it is displayed on a display device whether the numbers of electric charges on both the left and right sides of the reaction formula are equal or not. |
