PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely regulate the interval between a rotary transformer and a stationary transformer by rotating a set screw and moving an upper drum along a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: The head drum assembly 200 comprises a rotary shaft 10 arbitrarily divided into upper and lower parts 201, 202, and an upper drum 20 having a center coincident with the shaft 10 and a protruding cylindrical part 77. Further, the assembly 200 also comprises a lower drum 30 having an outer bottom 31, a plurality of bearing 40, a drum motor rotor 42 having upper and lower surfaces 61, 62, and a drum motor stator 43. Further, the assembly 200 comprises first, second permanent magnets 44, 45, rotary transformer 50, stationary transformer 60, and regulating means 70 having a transfer ring 71 having a tap hole 72 and a set screw 73. The drum 20 is press-fitted in the upper part 201 of the shaft 10, the drum 30 is coupled to the lower part 202 of the shaft 10 via a plurality of bearings 40, the drums 20, 30 are formed with cavities and with inner bottoms 75, 76.
