COLUMNAR ELECTRODE FOR QUADRUPOLE MASS SPECTROMETER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To improve shape accuracy by using an electrocasting base die comprising a main unit having a both end opened semicylindrical molded groove of hollowing the section along a hyperbola and a pair of end plates of closing both ends. CONSTITUTION: A pair of end plates 31 having a pair of columnar molded recessed parts 31a are fixed by screws 32 to both ends of a main unit 30 having a both end opened semicylindrical molded groove 30a of hollowing the section along a hyperbola, to assemble an electrocasting base die D1. This base die D1 is used to perform electrocasting till obtaining an electrode of desired thickness, and a curved surface along the hyperbola shaped by the molded groove 30a is shaped by the molded recessed part 31a in both ends. A columnar electrode for a quadrupole mass spectrometer having a pair of positioning protruded parts is obtained.
