PURPOSE: To expand a character font and correctly paint out the inside of its outline at a high speed. CONSTITUTION: As for the character font consisting of plural components (stroke), its outline is expanded into a bit map and its inside is painted out, component by component, and the painted-out components are combined to obtain a desired character pattern. To paint out, for example, the character shown in the figure, the outline of the 1st stroke is expanded on a bit map memory and its inside is painted out. Then the outline of the 2nd stroke is expanded on the bit map memory and its inside is painted out. Those individually painted-out patterns are combined to obtain the desired character as shown in the figure. |
