PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized charger for a radio communication unit having long service life which can be operated easily while suppressing generation of heat by a constitution wherein current supply from a power supply to the radio communication unit is interrupted by disconnecting a contact at a connecting section of DC circuit means. CONSTITUTION: A charger section 1 supplies power to a radio communication unit 3 through a connector 5 at a connector part 2. When the radio communication unit 3 is set at the charger section 1, it is connected electrically through the contacts with respective electrode terminals 51,..., 57 at the connector part 5 and the radio communication unit 3 is disconnected when it is removed from the charger section 1. A battery 32 for the radio communication unit 3 is connected through connector terminals 71, 74 with the radio communication unit 3 body and through the terminals 52,..., 57 with the charger section 1. Since the terminals 52,..., 57 are identical to the battery electrodes 71,..., 75, the battery 32 can be mounted/demounted easily. |
