PURPOSE: To keep the display quality of a side face illumination type liquid crystal module high. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal module is provided with a light guide plate 2 arranged on the back face of a liquid crystal cell 1, a metal plate 4 arranged on the back face of the light guide plate 2, a linear light source 3 arranged near the side face of the light guide plate 2, and a wiring board 5 electrically connected to the linear light source 3. The wiring board 5 is arranged on a heat conducting path conducting the heat of the linear light source 3 to the metal plate 4. A metal foil is nearly wholly formed on the surface of the wiring board 5, and the support member of the linear light source 3 is fitted. The wiring board 5 is effectively utilized, the heat distribution of the linear light source 3 is unified, and heat can be efficiently conducted to the metal plate 4. The reduction of contrast, color tone change, or whitening due to the thermal effect of a liquid crystal is suppressed, and the display quality can be increased. |
