ULTRASONIC INSPECTION APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To eliminate the deviation of the emitting timing of an ultrasonic wave between a plurality of ultrasonic probes. CONSTITUTION: A timing signal output circuit outputs a timing signal to each channel unit 1 based on the contact applied to an ultrasonic inspection apparatus and input to an input unit. A select signal output circuit outputs a select signal to the each unit 1. The switching circuit 17 in the unit 1 selects a desired timing signal based on the select signal from the select signal output circuit 4. A pulser 12 outputs a voltage pulse responsive to the selected timing signal, and an ultrasonic probe 11 emits an ultrasonic wave to a test specimen by the pulse. The reflected echo received by the probe 11 is amplified by a receiver 13, and then input to a peak detector 15 to detect the peak value. A comparator 16 compares the detected peak value with a reference value, decides the presence or absence of the defect in the test specimen, and sends the result to a display unit to display the presence or absence of the defect.
