<p>PURPOSE: To maintain a high opening rate and to reduce the overlap parts of auxiliary capacitor electrodes and pixel electrodes as well as signal lines. CONSTITUTION: The front surface of a glass substrate 1 is provided with auxiliary capacitor lines 21 in positions corresponding to the top side parts of the pixel electrodes 5 thereon in parallel with scanning lines 2. The front surface of the glass substrate 1 in the regions which are the positions corresponding to signal lines 3 between two pieces of the adjacent scanning lines 2 and the side parts of the two pixel electrodes 5 near the right and left of the signal lines 3 and exclude the auxiliary capacitor lines 21 is provided with light shielding films 22. In such a case, the auxiliary capacitor lines 21 and the light shielding films 22 are formed simultaneously with formation of the scanning lines 2 by the same metallic material (for example, chromium) as the metallic material of the scanning lines 2.</p> |
