PURPOSE: To provide an optical card which is simple in manufacture process and has a fine track pattern. CONSTITUTION: This optical card C, constituted by forming an optical recording layer 2 inside a transparent protection layer, laminating a card base material across an adhesive layer so that the optical recording layer 2 is sandwiched, and laminating a surface setting layer outside the transparent protection layer, has 1000-3000 track patterns 2t formed on the optical recording layer 2 in parallel to one another by irradiating the layer with laser beam R. At the same time, pits may be formed between the respective track patterns 2t. A part of the optical recording layer 2 which is irradiated with the laser beam R changes by thermal fusion, etc., to have a large difference in reflection factor from other parts, so a track pattern 2t is formed. Thus, the track patterns are formed directly on the optical recording layer 2 by using the laser beam R, so the manufacture process is simple and the precise track patterns can be formed. |
