PURPOSE: To provide a battery manufacture method having a process for completely washing away and removing an electrolyte adhered to and remained on battery surface regarding a crimp sealed cylindrical battery. CONSTITUTION: A battery element is housed in a cylindrical outer casing with one end open for forming one electrode terminal. Then, the case with the element housed therein is filled with an electrolyte via the opening. Thereafter, the opening of the case filled with the electrolyte is sealed with a sealing body, thereby assembling a battery. The external surface of the battery so assembled is, then, washed. This battery manufacture method has all of the foregoing processes, and the sealing process for the battery with the sealing body as well as the washing process for the external surface thereof is implemented within 24 hours after filling the electrolyte and by injecting high-pressure hot water. |
