PURPOSE: To provide an optical switch for efficiently distributing and transmitting light and an optical information transmission device constituting a network including the optical switches. CONSTITUTION: A free spatial optical network for communication between many processing elements 13 for parallel operation is adopted for an arithmetic system 10 having these processing elements 13. Photoelectric switches 15 having an H type tree of a binary type for sorting signals to selected lasers within one laser array is used for such network. Repeaters 40 of a hybrid type, are disposed in optical paths, amplify incident beams and emit and output the light beams on the same straight line as the straight line of the incident input beams.
