PURPOSE: To insert components in boards with high possibility even if the positions of the leads of the components and the positions of component insertion holes on the boars are varied by a method wherein if an insertion of the components is not varified by a detection means, component insertion operations are executed using a learning position on the basis of learning position data and a plurality of positions in the vicinity of the learning position as component insertion positions. CONSTITUTION: In the case where a component insertion operation at a teaching position PK fails in a component insertion work to a board of the first sheet since the operation of a component insertion device is started, as the position PK coincides with a learning position PI, component insertion operations are executed in order to positions centering around the position PK. As the insertion operations are repeated, the mean value of a plurality of pieces of newest values on the basis of data on the positions where the insertion operation succeed, is used as learning position data. In the case where the insertion operation at the position PK fails in the insertion work to the boards of the second sheet and succeeding sheets, the insertion operations result in being repeated in order to the position PI of the mean value of a plurality of pieces of newest values on the basis of data on the position PI, where the insertion operations are succeeded in a plurality of sheets of the boards in the past, and positions P2 to P5 centering around the position P1 of the main value and the possibility of the success of an insertion of components is increasingly increased. |
