PURPOSE: To store and control image with which are double in data amount without increasing the number of buffer memories or altering the constitution by controlling the reading and writing of a line buffer for one line of moving image data. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a decoding part 6 which decodes compressed image data, a storage device 1 which stores the image data, an interface part 2 which reads the image data out of the storage device 1, three line buffers 3 which temporarily store the image data from the interface part 2 by as much as (n) pixels, a line buffer control part 4 which allocates those line buffers 3 for writing and reading, and an output format part 5 which formats the image data read out of the line buffers 3 in image output format; and data of one line, i.e., 2n pixels are stored in two out of the three line buffers 3 and the line buffers are switched in the middle of screen output to display out an image with one-line resolution of 2n pixels. |
