PURPOSE: To decrease the frequency of acquisition of a memory area for element structure formation and saves the memory area, and to make a plotting process easy and fast. CONSTITUTION: When the outline of an outline font is represented with plural continuous segments, a polygonal element structure 40b for plotting the continuous segments as one polygonal line is generated and connected to a graphic path. When the outline is represented with a curved line, a polygonal element structure 40b for plotting the continuous segments connecting plural approximate points representing the outline by approximation as one polygonal line is generated and connected to the graphic path. Consequently, the continuous segment part and curved line part which are represented with many segment element structures in conventional method can be represented with only one polygonal element structure. |
