PURPOSE: To provide a three-dimensional image decoder by obtaining an image in a moving state without standstill of an object such as a person and decoding a 3-dimensional image from the obtained image. CONSTITUTION: The 3-dimensional image decoder decoding a 3-dimensional object as a stereoscopic image is made up of a projection section emitting a slit light or a pattern light fixed to a space where an object passes, an image pickup section obtaining plural images in time sequential manner from an image of a moving object receiving a light, a contour extract section 10 extracting a contour of the part irradiated by the projection section from each image obtained by the image pickup section, a moving direction detection section 11 detecting a moving direction of the object from each image and a decoding section 12 correcting the contour extracted by the contour extract section 10 based on the moving direction detected by the moving direction detection section and composing a 3-dimensional image from the corrected contour. |
