PURPOSE: To provide a sealing method for ensuring a sufficient sealing effect only through the light pressing of the polymeric electrolyte film of a solid polymeric fuel cell, and preventing damages to the film itself by preliminarily bonding the film to the packing (gasket) of the fuel cell for integration with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The solid polymeric electrolyte film 1 and the packing 12 of a solid polymeric fuel cell are preliminarily bonded to and integrated with each other by use of an adhesive, thereby providing a sealing effect. In this case, fine irregularities are preferably formed on the sealing side of the packing 12 by a sand blasting or a plasma etching process and, then, the adhesive is applied to the sealing side so roughened. Preferably, the film 1 is made of perfluorocarbon sulfonic acid resin, and the adhesive to be used is a resin solution of a perfluorocarbon sulfonic acid system (or similar system). |
